Burton Snowboarding History 2

After a bad winter at burton snowboarding, Jake took a couple of years out working in bars to keep the business afloat. Eventually his belief that surfing on snow was a great idea, took him back up to Vermont where he hired some school kids to help him assembly the partially completed boards . That year Jake started to get orders and doubled his sales.

In the beginning you could only ride those boards in powder as they weren’t allowed on ski slopes. If you wanted to snowboard you had to hike. Consequently, the market was 15-17 year old boys who were willing to buy the board straight out of the box and teach themselves to use it. The rest is history.

Jake owes everything to those boys and their burton snowboarding.
